I posted this on the Getting Started thread earlier today, before I found
this forum. I'm hoping someone here can help me. I've got a query that
produces a single formatted output string of 136 characters. I want to
export the data as a flat file, but I am not having any luck. When I use the
Export command, I do NOT get an export wizard - only a question about what
sort of encoding I want. None of the choices are sufficient. I tried using
Import to create a specification file so that I can use TransferText in a
Macro, but I get the error "Operation is not supported on this type of
object."
I found a reference to a Microsoft Jet 4.0 install and something about
sandbox mode. I downloaded and installed the Jet 4.0 as specified by the
link - no change. I assume something is just not configured right, but I
cannot figure out what it is. This should not be this difficult! Any help
is appreciated. This is on Access 2003. Thanks!
