OPS not applying on install

Meg_07

We have created an OPS file, and included it in an Office 2003 Std MST. When
Office is installed, only some of the settings are applied and/or others seem
to be lost soon after opening an application. The behaviour is erratic. We
would appreciated any advice re: deploying using the CIW (OPS etc).

Office 2003 is to be deployed to Terminal Servers and some desktops.

What is your test environment? Did you look out for machine settings vs
user settings. Did you note the old settings prior to installing? Did
you tell it to migrate old settings or use new ones? How will these
settings get set for other domain users (other than the one who
installed office?) Are you running roaming profiles? Are any of the
settings conflicting with group policy? Does the problem only affect
terminal services or does it also affect the desktops? Did you read the
pages in the ORK about terminal services?

Ive experiencing the same problem with settings with Powerpoint...While after
saving the ops file..MOST of the settings import..however setting reguarding
print behavior dont seem to save. Even after closing PPT and reopening these
setting go back to the default. So under tools, options, print i change the
behavior to use the following print settings 6 slides and grayscale...after
closing PPT and reopening it seems THIS setting is not saved. Any setting
changes made to the save tab, reappear and thusly the OPS file would
work...This is Office 2003, w/SP1
