Well a lot of it hs to do with being able to put the most popular
search terms (relating to your webpage) in the header of your webpage
and also in the general body of your webpage.
First you would have to identify some of the most popular search terms
that relate to your page. The basic theory is thatwhen people are
searching for information (and links) you will want your webpage's URL
to be on the list and as high up on the list (page ranking) as
possible.
You can pay for optimization - that is paying to make sure that your
page gets a high ranking - but I have tried to do my own optimization
myself - just as a lot of others have done. I have read some posts
from people that have said that they weren't satisfied with the
companies (or individuals) that they have hired for search engine
optimization.
