option suggestion

Would like the ability to auto sync/backup to a thumbdrive, put it in and
when in auto saves to thumb drive automatically

This functionality is already there. Just put the thumb drive in and create
a notebook on it. Then you can unplug the drive and it will sync any changes
you've made to it when you plug it back in. (the changes you make while it
is unplugged are stored in a cache, by the way).
