Option to "shade" in calendar like you highlight paper versions

Using outlook 2002. There should be an option to shade in the whole box of
the calendar on monthly view, like you would highlight in the boxes of a
calendar on a paper version on your fridge. I find that when you tag
something as an all-day event, it tends to get lost in the other clutter on
the calendar. I'd liketo be able to glance at the calendar and notice a chunk
of blue or red and realize I need to stay away from those days as there might
be a vacation or something else happening at that time.

Since Outlook 2003 has been out for quite some time, and a new version of
Office and Outlook could possibly be coming out some time later this year,
it's doubtful any 2002 programs will be enhanced.

I guess I should say that I'd like this in any version, unless it is already
available in a later version.

Office XP mainstream support expires on June 30, 2006, so there is still a
possibility of non-security related updates to be released for Office XP --
though, admittedly, a slim one, at that.

See http://www.microsoft.com/lifecycle for official information concerning
Microsoft product lifecycles and availability of support.
