Optional Resources - Choose first available

I work for Airbus and am trying to schedule 3 panels through 2 machines

Panel 1 can only go through machine A
Panel 2 can only go through machine B
Panel 3 can go through machine A or B depending on which is availabl
first

How do I let project choose?

If project can't is there any other software that can (Apart fro
Airbus's own APC)?

Project has no built-in function which would do this. You have to make the
assignment. Sorry.

I know in the past that there were some conditional scheduling add-in's to
project, but I'm not certain if they did this sort of resource
conditionality. I don't think they did. Sorry I can't give you a positive
answer.
