Options greyed out when using mail merge

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop When I try to attach a file to the emails created after a mail merge, the attach file icon is greyed out. How can I use mail merge to create my multiple emails and then go into each email and attach a file?

Hi,

this is a limitation in Entourage. Emails that have undergone the mail
merge process cannot be modified anymore. As you have noticed, it is not
possible to add attachments to such email messages. Sorry; there is
nothing you can do here.

I remember there being an AppleScript that allowed you to do that, but I
can't even remember its name, and I am not even sure if it will still
work in Entourage 2008, as it was written for Entourage v.X.
