After having been happily using the Office Products Update for some months,
suddenly it is causing Internet Explorer (V. 6.0.29 / SP2) to crash ( -
when the check reaches 40%, IE crashes, with the message "Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close. File: opuc.dll).
I have tried deleting the object (in Tools / Settings / View Objects), but
when I reinstalled and ran the update engine, IE crashed again.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Might I need to re-install IE? If so,
how do I go about this?
Many thanks,
