I am new to Excel and trying to us Conditional Formatting. I would like the
compare row B3 to B10 to row K3 to k10. If B row is less then highlite green
if greater than highlite red. Seems simple to me but I can only get 1 cell
to work. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi!

You need to provide a more detailed explanation.

Are you comparing one cell to one cell? B3 compared to K3, B4 compared to
K4? Are you comparing the entire range B3:B10 to the entire range K3:K10? If
the sum of B3:B10 is greater than the sum of K3:K10? What do you want to
highlight, the entire range?

thanks for the reply, what I need to do is compare a budget figure(K) to the
actual (b) with the actual being red or green (over or under). column b and k
are very long. each actual figure need to be red or green or nothing if equal
to K. Hope this makes more sense.

Select all of the B cells and use CF with a cell value condition of greater
than and a reference to =K3, and format as green, then add another condition
of less than and format as red.
