oracle 8 driver oracle 9 db

Can the 8.x driver connect to a 9.x database? I get timed out using
ODBC to link to a table in the database.

Thoughts, Comments, Hints.....

I have asked the IT team in our company and their answer is that most of the things should work with version 8.16 and later. Older Version from 8.05 up to 8.15 will have / create definately problems

Try to download the newest version from Oracle.com

I get the best results out of the Oracle 7 driver. The
others don't always connect. The 7 is a regular trooper.
