Over the years I've developed several Word Templates involving traffic
from/to Oracle Databases. My co-workers who are using Oracle too, but not
Word are evolving more and more towards a thin (browser) client. So the
question comes to mind if we still need an Oracle client on all end-user
pc's?
So I'm wondering, is there a more modern solution then using Oracle Objects
for OLE towards an Oracle 10G database? Is it possible to avoid using an
Oracle client when communiating with an Oracle Database from Word?
Thanks for your interest.
