Order custom fields

Hi,

I want to change the display order of custom fields appearing in pop up
which comes while saving a project(in project 2007). (Is it possible to hide
a fields from this pop up)

Could anybody please help me out for this.

There is not way to hide a box in this pop up and the order (post SP1) is
always alphabetical (although calculated fields might appear first, I can't
remember)

The only way to control the order that the project fields appear in is by
stipulating it in the name of the fields.

Can we modify something in the database table msp_custom_fields for this.

There is a slight chance you could do that but most likely not. I
personally don't know how you would do it. Also, I would not recommend
making any changes to the database since it will be unsupported from that
point on. Even reading directly from the Published database makes your
system unsupported as far as Microsoft is concerned.
