Order of printed pages

Word 2003 (Win XP). All multi-page documents are printed last page first.
The option to print in reverse order (Tools | Options | Print | Reverse
print order is NOT checked. Also, in the printer properties, reverse order
is NOT selected. So why are my pages printed last page first, and how can I
change this?
