orderby fails after filter procedure

I have a subform with a specific OrderBy setting. I have a procedure that sets FilterByOn to False, sets a new FilterOn and then turns FilterByOn to True. When this processes the OrderBy is turned off. I cannot get it to OrderOn the way I want.
