Ordering items in the Open File dialog box

I just upgraded to Word 2003 and Office 2003 and suddenly find in Word that I can't
order the items the way I want to in the Open file dialog box. What I WANT is for all the folders in the Open
dialog box to be at the top, followed by the individual
files ordered by date, with the most recently modified
files listed first, directly under the folders. But in any view I can create that has
the folders on top, the individual files below them are ordered
either alphabetically (when I organize usin the "name" column) or in date modified order with the most
recent files AT THE BOTTOM (when I organize the entire box
using "date modified" column). True, by toggling the "date modified"
column, I can get the most recently modified files to
appear at the top of the box, but in that case all the folders go
to the bottom, which I don't want.

Can anyone help me figure out a solution in Word 2003? (In Word 2000, I could easily accomplish what I want.)

Thanks!

Haven't you asked this question before? If so, it was answered as follows:
when you order files chronologically, the folders are included. Since most
of the folders will be older than the files, they will be sorted to the
bottom if your most recent files are at the top. There's no way around this.
