ordering PAGE and SUB-PAGE TABS - How do I stop the Page tabs frombecoming sub-page tabs?

My notebook is supposed to have several pages interspersed with sub-
pages. However, when I shift the position of a page tab it morphs into
a sub-page tab. That is, I'm not getting the option of declaring a
page a page!
Can anyone help me with this?

There is a powertoy that makes it a bit easier (and less confusing) to make
subpages at

I don't know if this will help, though, since this tool makes pages into
subpages. It seems like from your post that you are moving "full pages" and
having them become subpages.

The only thing I can think to do is to select the pages above and below
where you want to move the page, right click them and make them subpages (or
not), then move, then set all of them to pages or subpages.

John,

I installed the tab-shrinking power toy and it works great for that.
Now I need one that will do just the opposite i.e., turn a sub-page
into a page.

Can it be that OneNote was designed with the anticipation that the
user would know in advance the order of pages and sub-pages and that
once the original order was established, it would be impossible to
introduce a new page in the middle of the tab sequence?

Thanks. Roberta

To turn a sub-page into a regular page

Right-click on the Subpag
Click on "UnGroup Pages

See if that is what you were looking for. =
