Hi everyone
I put up a post earlier about my frustration at ordering tasks.
Almost by accident I have found a way to do it that (so far) is working
rather well!
I was digging back into my memory of Windows days and could remember copying
tasks into a word doc and ordering them.
Still not that good though.
BUT I found that they would only copy one by one on the Mac - Grr!
THAT is when I accidentally found something INFINITELY better.
I dragged my tasks for the day out of the Entourage Task page - all
highlighted - and they ended up on the desk top.
Eureka!
I have an icon for each task on the desktop.
I can use the desktop as a daily task board - I can arrange my tasks any way
I like! (MUCH better than hand copying onto a white board!).
EVEN BETTER I have found that if I open them from the desk top I can mark
them as complete - or modify them - change the date due - save them etc -
and it is all happening in the original task list.
When I complete the task - I open it - click the "complete" box then move
the desktop icon to trash (it acts as though it is an alias - but I am not
much of a techo) and the Task goes as "Complete" within Entourage - just as
I want.
I couldn't think of a better way to organise daily tasks (even if it wasn't
designed to be done like this!).
Why didn't I try it before?
Worth sharing I reckon.
