Org chart: Move shape without moving subordinates

I am using Visio 2003's Organization Chart. Is there a way to move a
shape without moving its subordinates? I want the interconnects to
readjust themselves appropriately for such a move as well.

This seems to be a protected behavior of the org chart shapes. I don't know
how to defeat this feature. But, you have two options, neither very
attractive. 1st, break the link connecting the parent shape to the
subordinate shapes. Move the parent and then re-connect. 2nd, create new
shapes. These will not have this protected feature.

If you open an org chart shape's shapesheet, the offending entries are in
the Shape Transform section for PinX and PinY.
