Org Chart - Shape connectivity affected by fill format?

D

Darin

I am changing the fill format of my org chart shapes by creating different geometry sections within a shape and turning fill on or off in each of the sections depending on conditional statements. The problem I am having is when I drop a shape onto another that is not completely filled, the newly dropped shape does not want to glue unless I drop it a certain way. Sometimes, I have to drop the shape onto its "manager" several times before the connection is made. Can someone enlighten me here

Thanks

In order to detect a shape dropped on top of another shape, Org Chart is
doing a proximity search. I'm not sure what method is used exactly, but one
way would be to see if the Pin of the new shape overlaps any existing shape.
If your existing shapes don't have filled regions, no hit will be
registered.
