Org Chart Shapes create unwanted connections automatically

Using Visio 2003 with an Organization Chart, if a shape is moved across
another shape, a connection is automatically established between the two
shapes. While this behaviour may be useful to some it is very inconvenient
and annoying for me, to say the least. How can the feature be disabled?
