org chart subordinates

Please would you tell me what is the logic of the placement of equal
subordinates in a Visio org chart. It doesn't seem to be alpha-numeric on
the ID or Title, and annoyingly it doesn't follow the order of the data in
the database where the information is held

The best I can work out is that it is a R and Om layout.

I think the short answer is, there is no logic. I believe it may have been
mentioned that they are dropped randomly and then connected to speed up
performance. That's why different iterations show up differently.

Thanks for the answer. Do you know a way I can trade the 5 seconds gained in
performance for the 2 minutes required to manually rearrange the chart into
the right order? I'm using the org-chart functionality to display logic
flows and I have over 100 to do.
