Org Chart Wizard failing to populate direct reports / subordinates

D

Deepak

Visio 2007, Exchange 2007, AD 2003.

When running the wizard I get this:
---------------------------
Organization Chart Wizard
---------------------------
Your organization data contains 1 entries that are not in the organization.
Do you want to include them in your drawing?
---------------------------
Yes No Cancel
---------------------------

It only populates the name I put into the "Name at the top of the page" box.

In my Outlook address book, AD Users & Computers, the direct reports and
manager values are all properly populated. I've tried every combination
possible in the Org Chart, with the same out come.

Deepak,

There are three fields required in the wizard. Employee name, unique
identifier, and who the employee reports to. You have to make sure that the
unique identifier really is unique and that the Reports To field points to
the same unique identifier. So if the unique identifier is an employee ID,
then the Reports To field will also contain an Employee ID. You also have
to make sure that the person at the top does not have a Reports To entry.

I think that the most common error is for the Unique Identifier to be an
Employee ID, but the Reports To being a person's name.

If you continue to have problems, you might export the AD information to a
spreadsheet and work with it that way to find the problem. I would also
leave out any optional fields until you get this working.

Hope this helps.

The unique Identifier is the Employee Name, as they are all unique but that's
not the issue. This wizard used to work perfectly in Exchange 2003, but I
think the wizard is crashing when trying to get data from Exchange 2007. I
could export the data from AD to a .csv file, but that's a manual step I
don't want to take as I'll have to export the data everytime any changes are
made.
