Organizaer has lost control of the meeting request

I recently sent out a meeting request. The request was send to a distribution
list that I'm a member of (I think this may be relevant to the problem but am
not sure). I've since had to update the meeting twice.

After the second update, the meeting disappeared from my calendar. It then
reappeared a few hours later but just as a meeting request, not the meeting I
created. I can Accept or Decline but I can no longer edit the meeting.

I now need (probably, not confirmed) to cancel the meeting - but I can't
cancel this meeting request, as I no longer have any control.

Any ideas?
