When I use the Organization Chart Wizard to import data from the GAL, it
doesn't import the Manager field. As a consequence it only ever imports the
user you specify at the top of the tree.

Anyone explain why?

Can you see the reporting structure in your address list? In other words,
if you look at the properties in Outlook for a contact, do you have an
Organization tab, and on that tab do you see entries for Manager and Direct
Reports? Can you successfully navigate up and down through the reporting
structure this way from Outlook? I have sometimes seen this not occurring
on the Exchange side, which means Visio can't read it properly.

In Visio - when you are working your way through the wizard, do you see the
Manager field listed in the list of "Data file columns" available on the
third screen? On screen 5, are you able to "Browse" and see your GAL
entries properly? Are you using the option to specify how much to display
per page, or allowing Visio to automatically break the pages? Do you get
different results if you change this setting.

Also - what version of Visio, Office, Windows and Exchange are in play in
your environment? I have seen some issues with Visio 2003 on Vista with
non-administrative users. You could try logging in as Admin to see if that
makes a difference.

Finally - are you actually connecting directly to the Global Address List,
or exporting the data to a file and then connecting?
