Organizer is recipient of own meeting

I have an meeting organizer who sent a meeting to a distriubtion list that
they are part of. They have the meeting showing up in there calendar as
accepted and the organizer. They want to modify the meeting and they are
unable to . The Send update option is not available.

This is Outlook 2003.
