Organizing Stationery

Hello,

Is it possible to move additional stationary files into the original 6
categories provided with OneNote?

This is what I would like to do. Move the Business Trip Itinerary
stationery into the Business category or Move the Holiday Bows stationery
into the decorative category.

Thanks for your time.

Shaun,

As far as I am aware you can only create new stationery inside the My
Stationery node.

Community created stationery which you download is, I think, assigned
its own node in the Stationery task pane.

I am not aware of a way to move stationery between nodes.

Actually you can do it, but it is a little convoluted. I've got an article
I've been meaning to put up on OneNoteAnswers, but haven't gotten to yet.
Guess it's time to get there.

Short version: Best way to do this is to make a copy of the .one file where
you want to add the stationery. You can find them in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ONENOTE\Stationery

Open that file, make your changes, then close it. Replace the original .one
file with the .one file you just made. Done!

I'll post when the article is up.
