Orphan Assignment Record

I have been seeing the following occur and wonder if anyone elase have seen
this and/or if there is a solution:

1. A task is created and an assignment has been made.
2. The Program Manager decides to delete the task from Project Professional
3. The assignment does not get deleted from the resources time sheet
4. Through SQL queries, an "orphan" assignment is discovered in the
Web_assignments table associated with the deleted task.

The reason for the orphaned assignment is because the PM is missing a step.
Before deleting the task, the PM should remove the resource from the task,
published the latest schedule changes using Collaborate - Publish - All
Information, and then delete the task. Hope this helps.
