OS 10.3+Word 10.1.5: How save to specific folder/subfolder?

Before OS 10.3, when the "save" or "save as" option was selected, one could
go into a partition/volume and move down into a specific folders or
subfolder into which to save. How does one get to see such choices with OS
10..3 and Word 10.1.5?
