Does anyone know if MS is planning a version of Onenote for OS-X? I have
numerous Onenote files from my XP platform that I am unable to migrate or
import to the Mac for lack of a compatible application.

Very frustrated,

Don't know. My guess is no, because Notebook Layout in Word 2004 has some
of those features, but maybe. If the feedback mechanism weren't currently
all screwed up, you could send MS a suggestion about it.

If I were you, I'd bug DataViz about adding it to their MacLinkPlus, might
get faster results.

I highly doubt that MS will make One Note for Mac, they have not really
made a lot of their Windows Programs fully on MAC (Publisher,
FrontPage, Visio and Access come to mind as some big ones).
But, you can save One Note documents as Word Doc files, have you tried
that?
It is one of the options you have when you choose save as.

One note hasn't really caught on with the PC crowd, just FYI. It's a bit
early on for a product like that.

Likewise, Notebook view in Word for Mac is just eye candy; you can't really
do anything with it other than basic outlining and you lose all of the other
functionality of Word (did you notice that you lose all but the default
toolbar?). It is nice having the tabbed pages, but not if I have to keep
toggling back and forth to page view in order to insert tables or equations.
