Good afternoon,
I have letters set up to merge with a 97 access database query. From
my PC the merge is perfect. From my interns PC it does not work at all
and when I try to choose the file path the necessary query is not an
option. We are using the same shared drive and the database is set to
be shared.
I made a copy of the database and ran the recovery and compressed the
file. Set the data sources for the users but the merge still doesn't
recognize the interns PC.
I get the following errors now:
record 1 contained too few data fields, record 2 contained too
few data fields.
Word cannot find data source.
Word could not establish a DDE connnection to Microsoft Access to
complete the current tasks.
When I can get to the path I don't the correct queries. I do not
understand why it works well on one PC and not another on the same
network.
As you can see I am not that technical but am trying to learn.
Thank you for your help.
