We have a few clients with OSX 10.3 machines using
outlook 2001 (running in classic mode) because we still
use MS Exchange Server 5.5.
We have a new Imac G4 that we been trying to configure
for the last week with no luck.
We downloaded a new copy of outlook 2001 from the
microsoft downloads and installed with no issues. A
profile for the user has been created under outlook
setting with no problems and the MS Exchange server even
resolves the username, but two things occure when outlook
is launched after successfully configuring.
1. the username and password (network) has to be entered
twice.
2. the user can receive emails but cannot email out
(inside nor outside email addresses. the Global Address
Book doesn't display neither.
i have recreated the account many times, checking
settings and TCP/IP connection settings, the client is
connected to the server.
