OSx10.3.3 and Excel

I recently switched to a MAC powerbook and transfered over some of my
excel budgeting templates to the mac - they will not work. I cannot create
formulae. I asked the assistant for help, used the calculator to insert simple
formulae and they all respond with a "value??" statement - i am talking
about simple formulas that require only addition, multiplication, percent
calculations etc...

Any ideas?

Do your templates have event macros? What XL version were the templates
created in? Does the same thing happen with new workbooks?

It's possible that the template(s) have become corrupted. You can try
selecting the entire sheet (CMD-A), copying it, and pasting to a new
workbook - does the same thing happen?
