[OT--PPT/Word] Putting a picture into a frame?

I'm actually working with PPT 2007 at the moment, but I think the
Subject might work the same way.

If I create a frame in PPT's Photo Album, it looks like a text box
surround the pic and shows a caption. I selected a white border via
Photo Album. How can I do this on my own in PPT or Word?

The PPT NG seems little traveled by anyone. That's even true in the case
of Live PPT.

Could be. I've pretty well figured out now a lot of aspects of PPT 2007.
