other email providers hyper links to from my sites

when a person clicks on the emai hyperlink it opens the email in
outlook...many of my customers are with yahoo, gmail, etc...how can I fix it
to where they will be able to use the email links...

A mailto: link will open in the default email client set up in the
browser. If there is no email client set up, the link will do nothing.

The way around this is to not use mailto links - use a form instead that
uses server side script or the FrontPage extensions to send email. This
(using script) has the side effect of reducing spam as well if the
script contains the email address, and the page doesn't.
