Other projects and commitments

We use Project Pro 2007 and Project Server 2007.

When in Project and using the Resource Usage view, we occasionally would
like to:
1) exclude some specific projects from being included
and/or
2) exclude proposed work from being included

Is this possible and how do you do it?

Thanks

There is no way to exclude specific projects and/or Timesheet information
from the Resource Usage view. It's an "all or nothing" proposition; either
you can see all other projects to which a resource is assigned tasks, or you
can only see the current project information. To eliminate all of the other
projects, you need to DESELECT the "Load summary resource assignments"
option in the Login dialog. If you want to see all other projects, you need
to select the option instead. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale. I was afraid that was the answer. We were looking at creating
a project specifically for force planning but that overstates resource loads
and makes leveling a bit of a challenge. We will look for an alternative.

Thanks
