Oultook 2003 Start-Up Problems

I have a Dell D800 laptop running WinXp Pro and Office 2003. When I boot up
and launch Outlook for the first time, I get an error saying that the
personal folders were not shutdown properly and it goes thru the verification
process. Then after Outlook finally launches, it seems to not respond for
about 30 seconds. After that I can shutdowna nd restart Outlook with no
problems until I actually shutdown my laptop and then I go thru this whole
process again during the next start-up. Does anyone have any ideas of why
this is happening?

Thanks,
Brian

From your description below it appears as if you don't close Outlook
before shutting down your computer. You should always gracefully exit
any applications that keep any valuable data. Shutting down Windows
without first closing Outlook may not allow Outlook give enough time to
close its data files.
