Oultook 2007 to Outlook XP

Dear Experts

I use 2007 at my office and Outlook XP on my laptop
I sometimes need to to transfer my .pst file from my office to my laptop but
my laptop cannot cope with the newer file type.
Can I change the file type on the desktop to a lower version or a 2003
comptible version so that I can synchronise moth machines?
