Out of Date DLL file

Receiving the following error when opening Access database
over a network and with other Office products mostly if
opening from a web page. "The file OLEAUT32.DLL is out of
date. This program requires a new version". I'm using
Office XP and have uninstalled office and reinstalled and
have all the Service Packs and updates. Does anyone know
what is causing this error? Trying to avoid reimaging the
system.

In Windows XP the current version seems to be 556KB, dated 8/29/02. Based on
the fact that there is a copy in Service Pack Files\i386, it was most likely
updated by SP1. I hope this is of some help.

I am running Office XP with Windows 2000. Does that

You will probably find this file in several locations, its MS OLE, the
latest version should be in your System32 folder
You could also try MS Office updates.
