I've having the same problems that many posts seem to have. I have 1 GB RAM
on my workstation, but when I try to send a relatively small spreadsheet, I
get a Out of Memory or system resources error if I'm using Rich Text as the
format. Changing the format to HTML prevents the problem.
Task manager or performance monitor shows plenty of available RAM. I'm
using Windows XP Pro and Office 2003 Pro. Both are fully patched. I was
having this problem some time ago and following a suggestion in this
newsgroup, dropped Word as the default editor. That fixed it for a while, but
now I have to switch to HTML format.
I've tried disabling virus checking and spyware checking and that doesn't
help.
Disabling word 2003 editing and Rich text formatting may stop the problem,
but in my mind this is a work-around, not a real fix. I would guess that
someone at Microsoft is aware of this issue and has some other suggestions.
Please help if you can.
