out of memory error when try to run ACCESS 97

Previously I ran Microsoft Access 97 on a windows 98
machine. I just loaded it on my windows 2000 professional
machine and can not start the product. Every time I try
to run Access 97 I get a "OUT of Memory" error. After
pressing ok I get another error "System error occured or
there isn't enough memory to start microsoft Access, Close
unneeded programs and try again" Being out of memory
cannot be the problem since I have 1 gig of ram installed
and nothing else running. Does anyone have any ideas
