Hi everyone,

I have Entourage 2008 (all updates applied) and Out of Office is not working. Environment is Exchange 2007.

When I open OOF, it attempts to connect to the server and throws an error, "Out of office status is temporarily unavailable because entourage cannot connect to the server".

I have test autodiscover via the web and everything seems OK.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!
thanks

Your mail server administrators may have changed servers on you without
informing you. While Outlook for Windows can handle these changes,
Entourage 2008 cannot. (Entourage for EWS *can* handle these changes but
it's still in beta.)

To verify your correct Exchange servers do this:

1. Log in to your account using Outlook for Windows.
2. Locate the Outlook icon in the System Tray near the clock.
3. Hold the Control key down *and* right-click the Outlook icon.
4. Select "Connection Status" from the contextual menu.
5. Verify that your mail, public folders and LDAP servers are correct.

Hope this helps!

when i configured entourage, we used a
<https://webaddress/exchange/[email protected]> Mail is flowing OK,
it just that OOO doesn't function properly. Any other suggestions?

Are you able to set your oof message via a web browser? You're on the
right track that the AutoDiscover service is key here.

yes, via OWA the OOO is functioning correctly.
I've applied all the service packs and updates also. This was a known issue for prior builds, but they were addressed by the latest service packs/updates. Still not working.....thanks for the help. Any other ideas?
