Out of office assist. won't autoreply?

I send a test message to myself and I don't get an auto
reply. I filled out the box that supposed to send an e-
mail back saying when I'll be back in the office but no
auto reply is ever sent. any ideas?

Always post the version of Outlook and Exchange for these questions, please!

Outlook will only send an Out of Office message internally to other Exchange
members in the same Exchange organization. It will disable replies to the
Internet and automatic forwards to the Internet by default (Exchange) so if
you do not have Exchange or are external to the Exchange org, then your
report is the expected behavior.
