out of office assistant and communicator

When I returned from my vacation, our company had installed Microsoft Office
Communicator on our computers. Apparently this fouled my Out of Office
message - since I can no longer open Office Assistant to turn it off.

I noticed that my out of office message was appearing as my "Note" so I went
in and erased this from my Communicator screen - but my Outlook is still
sending the Out of Office message to anyone who emails me.

I've contacted our IT department - but so far have not had a response.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
