Out of Office Assistant and Language

Outlook 2003 & Exchange 2003 SP2 (English)

In Outlook 2003 English, I open up the Out of Office Assistant, no
error message whatsoever. I can write an OOA message and save it.

In Outlook 2003 French, I select the Out of Office Assistant and get an
error message. Roughly translated it says : Unable to display your out
of office message. Client operation failure. Then the OOA form gets
displayed. If I try to write an out of office message and click the
save button, I get the following error : Unable to save modifications
to the rule.

I should also mention that everything is working fine in OWA (French or
English version)

I'm guessing this has probably something to do with some language
settings on the server. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
Martin

I found out what the problem was. In the end, it had nothing to do
with the outlook client language. All the french clients I tested had
multiple mailboxes in their profiles and all the english clients only
had one mailbox. But it was a server problem.

Here's the solution :

SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You open the mailbox of another user
in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. Then, you click the Out of Office
Assistant option in this mailbox. In this scenario, you receive an
error message that is similar to the following error message:
ERROR "Your AutoReply message could not be displayed. The client
operation failed."

· You are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2
(SP2).
· Outlook 2003 is running in Cached Exchange Mode.
· Your mailbox and all the additional mailboxes in your MAPI profile
are located in different mailbox stores.
