out of office assistant cannot be displayed

I have three machines that get "out of office assistant
cannot be displayed The client operation failed" when
you close that you get another window that says " system
resources are critically low. close some windows" these
are dell form factor computers running XP and office XP
2002. I have loaded all the updates, reloaded the
software. I have checked everything i can think if
nothing helps. Anyone have an answer for this one?
