Out of Office Assistant in Outlook 2007

Jim

One of my customers has recently upgraded to Office 2007. They connect to a
Win2k3 server running Exchange 2003 for email administration. When she was
using Office 2003, she had the OOOA. Now that she is using Outlook 2007, the
OOOA is not on the TOOLS menu, and there are no Add buttons in the Options
applet for adding the feature as suggested by the kb articles. Extensive web
searches have not revealed any solutions. The user has no problems obtaining
their email, and there are no error messages.

Please help---Thanks in advance

Hi,
have you right-clicked the standard toolbar, chosen commands, tools, out of
office assistant? left-click and drag outof office assistant to the 'tools'
drop down menu and drop it there. Let me know if this works for you.

Have you tried reinstalling the Exchange Extensions?

Please read the problem thoroughly. The Options applet does not have any ADD
buttons. There is no way to install extensions.

Please check your Tools menu thoroughly before chastising:

Tools->trust center->add-ins->Exchange Client Extensions.

And where did I tell you to look through the Options menu for which you chided me? If you needed to find them, then why did you not simply ask?

After furious head scratching, Jim asked:

| The reason for my comment is that I obviously looked for the
| extensions but could not find them. Therefore asking me if I tried
| to re-install exchange extensions is not helpful. Informing me that
| there is a trust center in the Tools menu that controls exchange
| extensions is more helpful.
