out of office assistant not working

i am using exchange server 5.5 sp4 .when user go out they
activate out of office assistant .i found that out of
office assistant is not really working ,when a user send a
message for the first time it send message only once than
it doesnt.i have checked internet mail service ----
advanced options it seems to be ok.i have not activate
disable out of office assistant can anyone tell me what
could be the problem as soos as possible.

The Out of Office Assistant is designed to only send one message and then
ignore future mails from the same person. The assistant IS working, just
not as you would like it to.

This is by design. Train your users to include in the message their
expected return date.
