Using Outlook 2003 SP2 connected to an Exchange server.
I setup 2 out of office rules.
Rule 1: If FROM = blah, perfrom the action: Delete.
By default, with a delete rule, the "Do not process subsequent rules" is
checked.
Rule 2: All messages, reply with Template.
The problem is that the rules seems to be ignoring the "Do not process
subsequent rules" check box. If I receive a message from "blah" the message
is auto deleted, but then blah also receives my auto response template email.
I have tried this using other options in the first rule, such as Move to a
folder with the Do Not Process Subsequent rules manually checked and I see
the same effect. When I receive a note from blah, the mail is auto-moved to
the specified folder, but then blah again receives the auto email.
If anyone can provide any feedback on how to make these current rules work,
or another set of rules that would provide the same effect, I would greatly
appreciate it. Thanks.
