Out of Office Assistant troubles

B

Bryce Ingalls

Hi all--
I am having difficult getting the Out of Office Assistant functioning in my
environment. The environment is as follows:

Windows 2003 Small Business Server (Windows Server 2003 SP1, Exchange 2003
SP2)
Symantec Mail Security 5.0.2.221
GFI MailEssentials 11.0, Build 20050502

PCs are XP SP2, running Outlook 2003

I am able to turn on the OOA without a problem, type in the text desired
etc. However, when I enable it, I do not receive automatic replies. This
applies to both internal and external recipients. Also, have tried with two
different users and both have the problem. Tried disabling Symantec Mail
Security and GFI--same problem. Tried using Outlook and OWA--same problem.

I also made certain to allow Out of Office replies per MS KB 323665. Same
problem--

Any ideas? Sorry if this is a re-post. Looked through the group and didn't
see anything applicable.....
