Out of Office Assistant

I use Microsoft Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.3821) corporate
or workgroup at my workplace. I frequently use the "Out of
office assistant" when I am away. I recently noticed that
my version of Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711) at my home does
not offer this feature. Is this by chance a
downloadable "add-in" that I can get from the support
site?

No. The Out of Office Assistant is enabled by the Exchange side, not the
user side. As you're not running Exchange at home, you do not have this
feature available to you.

Thanks Milly. Everything I know about Outlook, I've learnt from you! ;o)
Will this work with other versions, too?

Yes, if you conduct a search using the keywords "emulate the out of office
assistant" you will get hits for all versions (except perhaps Outlook 97,
which is now unsupported). Using the MSKB of course.
